Personal Training, Clydebank
Coached in threes
and fours. The Personal Training slots inside the 8-Week Package: your own programme, a handful of people in the hour, and Stevie moving between you. Not a class, not one to one.
What it is
Most people searching for a personal trainer picture one of two things: a class with a coach at the front, or an hour alone with a trainer counting reps. The thing that suits the most people is neither, and it is what the Personal Training slots here are.
A few people in the gym at the same time. Each on their own programme, doing their own weights, at their own stage. Stevie is with all of you, which in practice means he is with whoever needs him for the set they are on. You get your technique fixed, your loads chosen and somebody watching the lift that matters, and it costs what the block costs rather than what an hour of private coaching costs.
Who it suits
- People who want to lift properly and would rather not learn it in front of a full class.
- Shift workers, because the slots run Monday and Wednesday 5:10pm; Thursday 6am, 6:30am, 7am, 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm and 6:30pm; Saturday 8:30am, not one fixed evening.
- Anyone carrying a niggle. A programme can be changed for you inside a slot in a way it cannot be inside a class.
- People coming back after years off who want the first month to be technique rather than conditioning.
A slot, start to finish
You arrive, Stevie tells you what is on your sheet for the day, and you warm up. Then it is your lifts: the load written down, the last session's numbers beside it, and a correction when you need one instead of every minute. The people beside you are doing something else entirely, which is the point. 50 minutes later you know what you lifted and what you are lifting next time.
Where it sits against everything else
The classes are coached group sessions on a fixed timetable: 6am classes Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 5:40pm classes Monday to Wednesday and Saturday 9am Sanctuary Total Body. One-to-one is £295 for ten sessions and nobody else in with you. The small-group slots sit between the two, and every one of them is already paid for inside the £205 8-Week Package. Most people use both: classes for the conditioning, a slot a week for the lifting.

Questions
How many people are in a small-group slot?
A handful. It is not a class and there is no cap published for it, because it depends who is in that hour; if you want to know what a particular slot looks like, ask Stevie and he will tell you straight.
Is it included in the 8-Week Package?
Yes. The Personal Training slots and every class on the timetable are both in the £205 block. It is not an extra.
How is it different from one-to-one PT?
One-to-one is you and Stevie, ten sessions over five weeks for £295, with a programme written for you. Small-group is a few people in the same hour, each doing their own work, with Stevie moving between you. The one-to-one page has the detail.
Can I bring somebody with me?
Yes, and plenty do. Training in twos is its own thing. A small-group slot works the same way; Stevie asks everybody in the slot first.
When do the slots run?
Tuesday to Saturday from 6am, with afternoon and evening slots midweek and two on a Saturday morning. Thursday has no classes at all, which makes it the day most of the Personal Training happens. The timetable has every slot.
What if I have an injury?
Say so before the session. Movements get swapped rather than sessions cancelled, and anything that needs a physio or a GP gets said out loud. Stevie is GP exercise referral qualified.
