  • Getting here from Singer station. Singer station is the closest stop on the network and the walk is the whole reason this page exists: off the platform, out of the station, turn towards the business park on North Avenue, and Spectrum House is the office building on the left. Five minutes, flat the whole way, and no road worth calling a road to cross. Trains from Glasgow Queen Street low level, Partick, Hyndland, Dalmuir and Dumbarton all stop at Singer, which is why the 6am class has people arriving on foot from the platform with their kit in a bag.
  • The walk, step by step. Off the train, down and out of Singer station, turn towards Clydebank Business Park and on to North Avenue. Spectrum House is the office building on the left. It is about five minutes, it is flat, and it is lit. There is no neon and no glass front full of treadmills: look for the Sanctuary Fitness sign at the door, and if you are stood outside wondering, message and Stevie comes out. The exact door is what3words ///pretty.needed.chill.
  • Which trains, and whether they fit the classes. Singer is on the Glasgow to Dalmuir and Balloch lines, so Queen Street low level, Partick, Hyndland, Yoker, Dalmuir, Drumchapel and Dumbarton are all direct. The 6am classes finish at 6:50am and the 5:40pm ones at 6:30pm, which leaves the station a five-minute walk away at both ends. Check your own times before the first one; the timetable that matters on the day is ScotRail’s, not this page’s.
  • Coming on foot or by bike instead. The Forth and Clyde canal path runs behind the business park, which is the flattest way in from Dalmuir, Clydebank and the Yoker side. Free parking at the building if somebody drops you off, and no meter to feed while you are training. The full directions guide has all three routes; the parking page covers the car.
  • The gym is a short walk from Singer station, which is why so many clients come by train from Glasgow, Dumbarton and everywhere in between for the 5:40pm classes.
  • Five minutes on foot from Singer station. Out of Singer station, across to Clydebank Business Park and Spectrum House is on North Avenue. About five minutes on foot. Route from Singer station.
  • What you get: Seven coached classes a week, Personal Training from 6am, a nutrition plan, measured at both ends. £205 for eight weeks; rated 4.9 on Google.
