Return after injury · Clydebank

Back to training
after the
injury. Coached return to exercise in Clydebank after a back, knee, shoulder or hip problem. One-to-one first, working around what hurts rather than through it, then back into the room when you and your physio are happy.

  • Train around it, not through it. A bad knee does not stop upper body and core work. A sore shoulder does not stop legs. There is always a session.
  • Your physio's plan comes first. Bring their exercises and Stevie builds the session around them, not against them.
  • Loads that go up slowly. Empty bars, light dumbbells, bands, and a written log so you can see it climbing.
  • Back to the room on your terms. Classes are scaled per person anyway, so the step from PT to class is small.

How it works

Ten sessions, five weeks, no heroics.

One-to-one Personal Training is £295 for ten sessions with nutrition included.

Session one

What happened, what the physio said, what you can do today without pain. A plan written from that, not from a template.

Weeks one to three

Movement quality, the muscles around the injury, and everything else in the body kept strong so you do not lose eight weeks of fitness over one joint.

Weeks four and five

Loads up, ranges bigger, the first class pencilled in for when it is right. Nutrition kept sensible so a quieter month does not become a heavier one.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I need to be signed off by a physio or GP first?

If you have been told to rest, rest. If you have been told to move, that is where Stevie comes in. When in doubt ask your GP or physio and bring their answer to the consult.

What if it hurts during a session?

Then that movement stops and something else replaces it. Nothing is pushed through pain here.

Can I go straight into classes?

Sometimes. Tell Stevie at the free consult and he will say honestly whether one-to-one first is the better idea.
