Menopause · Clydebank
Strong through
the change,
not despite it.
Strength training and nutrition for women in perimenopause and menopause, in a private coached studio in Clydebank. Bone, muscle, sleep and mood all respond to the right training. This is the right training.
- Lift, properly. Strength work is the best-evidenced thing you can do for bone density, muscle and the belly fat that arrives in your 40s and 50s. Coached from the first rep.
- Conditioning that helps sleep, not wrecks it. HIIT scaled to how you recover this week, not last year.
- Protein-first nutrition. Targets and a meal structure that keep muscle while the scales move.
- Coached one-to-one or in class. Start private if you want to, join the room when you are ready. Most of the room is 35 to 60.

What changes
Why the old approach stops working.
More cardio and less food is exactly the wrong prescription after 40.
Muscle drops faster
So we build it on purpose: barbells, dumbbells, progressive loading, twice a week minimum.
Recovery takes longer
So sessions are planned around it. Hard days, easy days, sleep as a training variable.
Weight shifts to the middle
So nutrition is protein and structure first, not starvation. The tape measure tells the truth the scales hide.

Questions
Good to know.
Do I need a GP letter?
Not usually. If you are on HRT or have a condition, tell Stevie at the consult and check with your GP if you are unsure.
I have never lifted weights.
Nearly nobody has when they start. Technique is coached from empty bars and light dumbbells.
Is it a women-only class?
No. Classes are mixed, all levels, and one-to-one Personal Training is always an option.
