Nothing runs today, Sunday. The week starts again Monday. The full timetable.

Never more than 30 people in a class. Minimum age 14: 14 and 15 year olds train with a parent or guardian in the gym, 16 and over train on their own. The terms have the detail.

  • When. Tuesday 5:40pm and Wednesday 6am. 50 minutes. The full timetable.
  • What you do. A warm-up, then the big lifts: squat, deadlift or hinge, a press and a pull, at a weight chosen for you. Add a bit most weeks. That is strength training.
  • Never lifted? You start with the bar or light dumbbells and get coached until the movement is right. Nobody is thrown under a loaded bar in week one.
  • Coached, not supervised. Every set is watched. Technique is corrected on the spot, which is the difference between getting strong and getting hurt.
  • Capped at 30. Enough people for the atmosphere, few enough that you are coached. Book the class through the free consult.

Inside the gym

This is what a session looks like.

Filmed on a phone in the gym at Clydebank Business Park. Coached from the first minute, scaled to the person, nobody at the front doing the workout instead of watching yours.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I need to know the lifts?

No. Most people learn them here. The first sessions are technique at light loads.

Is it just for men?

No. The class is roughly half and half and the coaching is identical: technique first, then weight.

Will I get bulky?

No. Two or three coached lifting sessions a week make you stronger and firmer. Bulky takes years of eating for it on purpose. Building muscle properly.

Can I do this and Sanctuary Conditioning?

Yes, that is the point of the package: Sanctuary Conditioning for conditioning, this class for strength, and the Saturday session for both.
