Weddings are the one deadline nobody misses, which makes them the best fat-loss motivation there is and the easiest one to get wrong. The people who arrive with three weeks to go want a miracle. The people who arrive with eight weeks get a result they can keep. Here is what those eight weeks look like.

What is realistic in eight weeks
Two to five kilos of fat, several centimetres off the waist, visibly better posture and arms, and a lot more energy for a very long day. Not a different body. The dress or suit that fits better, not a new size at the last fitting; get the outfit tailored to the week-six you, not the week-eight guess.
Weeks one to two: the boring bit that works
- Three coached sessions a week. The Sanctuary Strength class does more for shoulders and arms in a sleeveless outfit than any amount of running.
- Protein at every meal, and a calorie target from the calculator, a few hundred under maintenance. No lower. Bigger deficits mean flat, tired and grumpy at the exact moment you need to be the opposite.
- Eight thousand steps a day. It is the difference between a plan that works and one that nearly does.
Weeks three to six: the engine
Four sessions a week if you can, lifts going up every week, the week-four tape measure telling you it is working. This is where the drinking question comes in. Nothing is banned, but alcohol works against everything in the plan, so the guide has weekend rules: set a number before you go out, water between drinks, keep the Saturday class booked. Here are the numbers.
Weeks seven and eight: nothing new
The biggest mistake in the last fortnight is trying something new: a detox, a juice week, a spin class every day. Keep the sessions, keep the food, sleep more. Two days before the wedding, drop to a walk and some mobility. On the day before, eat normally, drink water, and do not weigh yourself; the number tells you nothing you can act on.
The day itself
Breakfast with protein in it, even if you feel too nervous to eat. A pint of water before the champagne. Sit down when you can. Then enjoy it: the work is already done and it shows.
Doing it as a couple
Two people training for the same day keep each other honest. One-to-one for two is the usual way, or both in the same 8-Week Package with the same start date.
If the wedding is more than eight weeks away, start now and do two blocks with a fortnight of maintenance between. If it is less, message me anyway; four weeks still beat a crash. Start with a free consult.
